ILITHREADS is an independent not-for-profit non-governmental organization that seeks to link the indigenous fabrics and raw materials of the Philippines with local designers and international markets, and works to encourage awareness and espouse sustainability in preserving the country's cultural heritage, promoting education, and protecting the environment.

Our vision, in general, is to help Filipino indigenous minority groups nurture their cultural essence and sense of identity in the face of global modernization.

In particular, we endeavor to provide these communities with a viable avenue to share to the world their indigenously-sourced materials, handicrafts, and products — clothing, accessories, and other crafts — in the process helping them preserve their values and celebrate their artistry, at the same time empowering them to compete in the global trends in the exotic fashion industry.
